We welcome you home to Camp Rising Sun

Reunions are for everyone!  Reconnect with alumni of all ages. 

There will be a special welcome for these notable reunion classes:
CRS 1966: Celebrating 50 years 
CRS 1976: Celebrating 40 years 
CRS 1986: Celebrating 30 years
CRS 1996: Celebrating 20 years
CRS 2006: Celebrating 10 years
CRS 2011: Celebrating 5 years 

Friday, July 22:

5:00-7:00 PM:   Guest Arrival and Cocktail 
7:00 PM:  Dinner at Camp or on your own
8:00 PM:  Frame by Frame film screening (Produduced by Jeff Orlowski, CRS '99) or Board Games

Saturday, July 23:

8:00-9:00 AM:  Breakfast at CRS or on your own
9:00 AM-1:00 PM:  Board Meeting
1:30 PM:  Lunch
3:00 PM :  Instructions and projects 
4:30 PM:  Ecclesiates (SST) or Tour of CRS Red Hook with members of Buildings and Grounds Committee
7:00 PM:  Dinner and CRS Sing-Along
8:30 PM:  Alumni Council

 

Sunday, July 24:

10:00 AM:  Brunch
11:30 AM: Discussion with CRS alumni and staff regarding future sustainability of CRS and panel discussion about the program
1:30 PM:  Lunch and Libby and Mandy Day Program and Sing Along
2:30 PM:  SST
5:30 PM:  Trip to Holy Cow and departure

Full Packages

Individual: Includes all meals and one bed in a shared tent: $200

Family: Includes all meals for two adults and up to 3 children under age 12 in a private tent: $500

Meals Package Only (not sleeping at Camp)

Friday: Includes dinner and snacks $25 per person
Saturday: Includes breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks $50 per person.
Sunday: Includes breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks $50 per person.

20% Discount for active committee members. Email alumnireunion@lajf.org to receive the code if you are currently serving on a committee.

50% Discount for all full-time students! If students use the discount code, they will be asked to volunteer 3 hours of their time at the reunion. Please email alumnireunion@lajf.org to receive the code.

Camp season staff will receive either a free individual package or meals only package. Email alumnireunion@lajf.org to receive the code if you will be on summer staff.

 

How to Get There

You can get to Rhinecliff by train from Penn Station. It is a 15 minute car ride from the train station to camp. We will provide rides from Rhinecliff to camp on Friday at 4pm and 4:55 pm for the trains leaving Penn Station at 2:20 pm and 3:15 pm respectively. Please email echej@lajf.org if you wish to be picked up from the train station.  We will also coordinate rides to get to the train station on Sunday. We encourage you to post on the Facebook event if you need a ride, or if you want to offer a ride.
